Sand Mandala: A Work in Progress.
Mandala is a Sanskrit word meaning "healing circle". Mandalas are symbols of the Universe and its energy. It has many layers of meanings, such as cosmic diagrams and support for meditation. Tibetans monks have developed a special skill with sandpaintings i transforming these extremely complex images into art.
