Born
in Argentina. Sculptor, designer, creator of the Operas of Burning Man and videographer..
Since his arrival in San Francisco in l975 he has worked in the fields of production and direction for "Unity Fair", Theater Artaud, Noh Oratorio Society, Intersection for the Arts, Mission Cultural Center and worked in the "Theater for the New City" in New York. Starting in 1994 he created a series of Operas that through the years have grown to host 200 participants and 30 musicians performing for an audience of 5000 people in September 2000 at the Burning Man Festival. Vorpal Gallery in San Francisco and the Carnegie Museum, Pittsburgh, PA, have exhibited his sculptural work. Currently he has been assigned by the Arts Commission of San Francisco to design and fabricate a public sculpture in the intersection of Potrero and Cesar Chavez streets, in San Francisco. He is also producing a new Opera for Burning Man 2002. In 2001 Pepe spent 7 months in India to capture the images of "Ganga Ma: A Pilgrimage to the Source", the 58minutes art-documentary released in December 2001. Co-founder of Artnetwork Productions, an award winning independent film production company focusing it's work in the visual documentation of ancient, indigenous and nomadic cultures and the development of projects alerting audiences of the need for preservation of the planet'senvironment and vanishing cultures.
