Jaisalmer Ayo ! Gateway of the Gypsies

Jaisalmer Ayo! captures the lives of vanishing nomadic communities of the Thar Desert of Rajasthan, India, who are believed to share common lineage with the European Roma (Gypsies).For a period of seven months, the filmmakers traveled with communities such as the Gadolia Lohars (blacksmiths), Banjaras (salt- traders), Bopas (storytellers), Manganiards (musicians).Nats (acrobats) and the Jogis/ Kalbelias (Snake charmers, dancers). From the open roads of the desert to their temporary encampments, the documentary shows their daily life, struggle for survival, music, dance, and rituals.

"Ganga Ma: A Pilgrimage to the Source " shows with engaging images the Kumbha Mela 2001 (the biggest gathering of people in the world), among other festivals, ceremonies and the daily life of ancient Hindu culture present along the banks of the Ganges river.

The photo series "Bedouins: a way of life", and traditional Bedouin weaving techniques are presented as a window to the past in an attempt to document a culture at the verge of extinction
